Certificate Answers

How do I receive a certificate for a course?

Note: If you take courses in SkillSoft, the course must have been added to My Plan in order to be considered for a certificate.

Before you can receive a certificate you must:

  1. Complete the course (scoring at least 70%).
  2. Fill out an evaluation.

How do I print my certificate?

Two things need to happen before you can print your certificate – you must have completed the course and scored at least 70% or higher; and you must have completed an evaluation from the Online Learning Center page.

From the Partnership's Online Learning Center:

  1. Go to the Course Selection box and click on Refresh (this appears on the right side of the box). This will enable you to see all the courses that you have taken.
  2. Under Course Selection, select the course for which you want to print a certificate. Across from the course name you will see three columns: Completed, Evaluation, and Certificate. If you have completed a course and filled out the evaluation, you will see a check mark below Certificate that indicates you can print your certificate.
  3. Under Certificate you will see a symbol of a piece of paper. Click on the symbol, it will bring you to a document that will allow you to print your certificate.
  4. Click on Click Here words. You will see your certificate.
  5. Go to the top of your window and choose File, then Print. A Print dialog box will appear.
  6. Choose your Printer Name and click Print. Your certificate will print.

Note: You can print your certificate as many times as you like.

What's the difference between the certificate I get at the end of a course and a certificate I receive as part of one of the Partnership's certificate programs?

When you successfully complete an online learning course with a score of 70% or higher, you are entitled to get a certificate for that course. Periodically the Partnership offers special certificate programs, such as the Administrative Skills Certificate program (ASCP). Participants are required to take a series of specific online courses in order to receive the Partnership's certificate for that program. For more information about Partnership Certificate programs, you can contact Partnership staff as onlinelearninghelp@nyscseapartnership.org
