A working knowledge of the principles and practices of effective labor-management committees helps to maintain effective labor-management relationships. This course will increase your understanding of the labor-management environment and provide a basic working knowledge of the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) and NYS labor-management committee process. You will be able to discuss your questions with classmates on a discussion board and e-mail your instructors for additional subject matter expertise.
Working With The ContractAn understanding of the labor-management environment and appropriate use of the contract helps supervisors and CSEA representatives work more effectively to prevent grievances. This course offers case studies to build on the knowledge and skills you will gain in the first four lessons. In addition, you will use the contract and other forums to resolve hypothetical issues in the workplace. You will be able to discuss your questions with classmates on a discussion board and e-mail your instructors for additional subject matter expertise.
