Institutional Services
Certificate Program

The Institutional Services Certificate Program (ISCP) is an exciting career development opportunity designed around the critical job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for employees working in institutional settings to succeed in their careers.
The ISCP consists of eight core courses and two elective courses. The elective courses enable employees to customize the program to meet personal career goals.
Participants will acquire or refresh a wide range of job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve job performance and enhance career mobility.
CSEA-represented NYS employees in the Institutional Services Unit (ISU/04) are eligible to participate. Supervisory approval is not required for ISCP courses taken at home. It may be possible for employees to take courses at work with supervisory approval.
Employees can apply between June 21, 2010 and July 18, 2010 or until all seats are filled, whichever comes first. The ISCP will be offered from July 19, 2010 to December 31, 2010. All core and elective courses must be completed by December 31, 2010. The typical learner will need at least one hour each week of online study to complete the requirements for the ISCP.
Participants are required to successfully complete eight core courses, two elective courses, and achieve a passing grade of 70% or higher in each course. In addition to the required ISCP courses, participants are eligible to take additional online courses during the same time period. Print the list of courses for your reference.
Participants who successfully complete the required eight core courses and two elective courses will be awarded an ISCP certificate by the Partnership.
