Register for Partnership Courses Using the Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS)

What is the Statewide Learning Management System?
The Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS) is a web-based learning management system used to manage, deliver, and track training for all state employees and external customers. Employees can register online for a class, or an "Activity" as it is referred to in SLMS. They can also cancel or drop an "Activity" online. By maintaining a single statewide learning management system, employees' training records will follow them from agency to agency. New York State will also achieve savings by reduced costs for maintenance of separate systems. The new SLMS will be implemented with agencies in phases. The Partnership is one of the five agencies included in phase one.
When will SLMS be Available?
Beginning October 18, 2011, SLMS will be available for all employees who wish to enroll in a Partnership online course. All NYS employees will have accounts set up in the new system automatically. Usernames and passwords for employees will be available through their Human Resources Office. If an employee currently has a GOER NYS Learn account, their username and password will be the same.
How Does an Employee Enroll in Partnership Courses Using SLMS?
The Partnership has created some tools to help employees log into SLMS and to get started searching for Partnership courses they may wish to enroll in. Below is a list of Reference Guides and Tutorials. The guides are quick overviews that can be viewed or printed to help employees use SLMS. The tutorials are videos that can be viewed on a computer to learn more about SLMS.
