Custom Consultation and Facilitation Services
Worksite Consultation
Partnership staff is available to consult with labor and management leaders on a variety of matters including:
- Starting a new Labor-Management Committee (LMC)
- Assessing communication effectiveness and identifying systemic sources of difficulty
- Improving communications between and among labor and management leaders and their constituents
- Assessing training needs to improve labor-management committee functioning
- Establishing priorities for action and reaching agreement on mutually beneficial agenda items
- Effective implementation and follow up strategies for labor-management decisions and commitments
Facilitation
At times, cooperation between labor and management breaks down, is weakened or may be affected by issues that challenge the ability of the parties to respond constructively and collaboratively. The Partnership offers facilitation services to NYS managers and CSEA leaders as well as labor-management committees for a wide variety of issues including:
- Training needs assessment for all or selected groups of employees
- Facilitation of critical labor-management forums and meetings on sensitive or emotionally charged issues
- Training NYS managers and CSEA leaders in handling controversial issues
