Online Learning Courses Descriptions

Business Skills

Business Skills courses focus on behavioral skills (often called "soft skills") that are key to performance for all business professionals, regardless of job role. Examples of skill courses would be communications, accounting, and customer service.

IT and Desktop Computer Skills

IT and Desktop Computer Skills courses focus on technical programming languages and applications such as Cobol, Visual Basic, networks, servers, and web site design and also end-user desktop training such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Windows, and Adobe Photoshop.

GoTrain Safety and Health

GoTrain Safety and Health courses focus on a wide array of health and safety, environmental, transportation, and workplace concerns. Examples of safety and health courses would be Environmental Regulations and Hazardous Materials.

Labor-Management (LMC)

Labor-Management courses concentrate on the tools and skills used in the labor-management environment. Labor-Management Committee Basics focuses on the skills needed to organize and operate a Labor-Management Committee. Working with the Contract will help you get a basic working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement between NYS and CSEA.
